Not the 90's Nickelodeon version of a scary movie... and NO, I'm not afraid of the dark... as long as I'm not running in it... alone... This week I have sucked! I didn't run Monday because by the time I got home from track, it was getting dark and Jason, my running buddy, had a crippling sore back. I think it's from the move (he changed offices). Tuesday, I had a crazy oral emergency plus I was at school late. Today, Jason was going to be late and I knew he wouldn't want to run, so I had to leave right after school without my "zen time". The run was off to a bad start...
Today's run was... OK, it was pretty miserable. I felt like my legs weighted a ton each and I had to keep telling myself to run fast. To make things worse, my iPod died just before mile 3, which was oddly when my legs started feeling better. Unfortunately, that is also when I hit the hill on my street, and instantly I had tired legs again. Oh well, that will teach me to take 2 days off in a row.
I ran 4.12 miles in 32 minutes and 57 seconds. At least my time was good.
Average Pace: about 8:14 per mile. Still looking for a metronome!
Number of Intervals: 4.12 miles around the neighborhood.
End Results: Feel heavy!
Aches and Pains: Stomach and shoulder cramps around mile 2. I adjusted my breathing and relaxed my shoulders and the pains went away.
Breakthroughs: NEVER take 2 days off in a row unless I break my leg!
Age of Shoes: 2.5 years
