but I did. Actually, I kept going back and forth on whether or not I would run. When something would come up, I would try to convince myself that it was a good enough excuse not to run.
For starters, I had to wait 1 hour after practice to have one of my track girls picked up. When I got home, I remembered that it was St. Patty's day and we didn't have the ingredients for an Irish dinner, so I HAD to go to the store. 45 minutes later, it was still light out and although I was hungry, I decided to run. That was until Jason needed my help with the electrical for the pool. Since it's almost pool season, I though I should help. It took longer than expected and I was definitely NOT going to run.
Then I remembered that I have a track meet tomorrow (wish my girls luck!) and will not be able to run. That leaves Thursday and Friday to run before my 5K on Saturday. I can't run much on Friday and Thursday I want to do 400s which would really stink after 3 days off. I began to feel guilty, so I sucked it up and ran. All in all, it was a surprisingly good run. I felt great and enjoyed myself! So here are the stats:
Average Pace: 7:51 per mile, just like Saturday. Still looking for a metronome!
Number of Intervals: 3.03 miles around the neighborhood
End Results: No Guilt
Aches and Pains: none
Breakthroughs: I think I'm becoming a runner again :-) Yea!
Age of Shoes: 1.5 weeks

Thanks! I knew I would feel guilty if I didn't run. Oddly, I have not felt guilty not running all week though :-) I will run tomorrow. Keep thinking of a race you want to run this summer!!
